After a disappointing attempt with Addium, I decided not to give up on nootropics right away, good idea.

Instead, I found a new brand of cognitive enhancing supplements called RISE by Nootrobox.

The Nootrobox Team sent me free samples (month-long supply – 60 capsules, two capsules a day) and here are my 2¢.

Nootrobox RISE is designed to enhance cognitive performance and will cost you $44.10 for a Monthly subscription (10% off) and $49.00 without the Monthly subscription. RISE consists of specially blended mixture of nootropic compounds which will specifically enhance your memory, focus, and energy.:

If you don’t know what the hell that is, the answer to your question that’s in your head right now is yes. Everything in RISE is “generally regarded as safe” and/or acceptable as a dietary supplement compound by the FDA. But that doesn’t mean to say that it’s FDA Approved.

Disclaimer: These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA as they are my own. And this product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. So if you die doing stupid shit, please don’t sue me.

It’s all fun and games until someone with an undiagnosed heart or nerve issue takes it and strokes out. Generally speaking, anyone who tries to promote anything by saying “it’s natural” is admitting that they haven’t got a clue about long term affects. Be smart when taking this.

FYI, for the people who know what they’re doing, I’m sure you noticed that you can purchase and make this supplement for a FRACTION of what they charge you. I did some math on the “SPRINT” product. They charge approx. 10~ times what it actually costs to make. And that is buying bulk not from a huge manufacture with discount.

Here are the market prices for each:

  • Bacopa Monnieri 60 x 500 mg for $5
  • L-theanine 30 x 200 mg for $6
  • Caffeine in pills 200 x 200 mg for $5

Ouch.

Another word. Don’t ever think this will make you SMARTER, because it wont.

It only helps you concentrate more.

A lot of people are convinced they have ADD/ADHD and being diagnosed with it is so subjective…”if you experience X number of symptoms on this list” then one can be considered to have ADD/ADHD. A lot of it has to do with our generation and how we are so distracted with technology, especially with how much we multi-task, texting while doing homework, watching TV and making food. There are other solutions besides using a drug everyday: you can make lifestyle changes instead. That being said, I still use it for cramming for finals, studying for big exams, programming my new iOS game (Catch Crisis). I just think using it everyday does more harm than good for you in the long run, but I have no proof.

So use it short term.

If you haven’t been convinced by now to buy it, then you most likely never will.

What are you waiting for?

Buy some.
