A Review of CoD MW3

What can I really say about this game?

INCREDIBLE

I guess we can start at what I attempted first: Special Ops. An easy and fun way to pass the time either online or Coop with a friend. You have unlockables that will, definitely, keep you playing.

Myself and my cousin went ahead and attempted Coop in Survival. We went 20 levels before our faces got blasted open by 2 Juggernauts. What are Juggernauts? Remember in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, those guys holding the riot shields on the mission “No Russian” being almost invincible? Well, that’s what a Juggernaut is, only more on the level of THE JUGGERNAUT, the one from the X-Men obviously, they won’t die. We had emptied all our magazines and every single one of our bullets into one guy only for him to die in the end with a knife, they walk through claymores, take grenades, and will laugh at you as their bullets riddle your soon to be lifeless body. My opinion, use your damn flash grenades, and save them for these Juggernauts. Not only were the Juggernauts a constant nuisance, there are attack dogs that you have to constantly keep your eye out for, considering they are never on the radar. There are suicide bombers that, will shoot at you, and blow up when they die, and I mean blow up, there is also your grunt, who progressively into more and more waves, gets harder and harder to kill. Overall, the Survival Mode was very fun, a great way to kill time with a friend.

I then found myself wandering the menus vacantly, only to end up with the decision to play Campaign. I have to say, that was my best decision of the night. I found myself totally immersed in the game. I could not stop playing. The campaign for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 takes off right after Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and it takes off with a boom. You instantly find yourself in action, in the middle of a firefight, crawling out of your wreck of a Humvee, and sprinting and firing willy-nilly. Your mission, as Delta Force, take out the enemy Radio Jammer. Incredible way to start off in New York, not only was I trying to keep myself busy firing at the enemy, attempting to take cover, I could not keep my eyes off of the landscape. The beauty of just the landscape itself keeps the game to its roots. The dust in the air; almost choking, like I was standing amidst the rubble.

I’m going to keep my mouth shut, but just as a slip of the tongue finger, you may get to play the infamous Cpt. Price with a vendetta on the ever more infamous Makarov.

And lastly, the ever so epic Xbox Live online play! All I can say is, Weapons Proficiencies. The online play was stellar! Even if I had the score of a ten year-old’s first attempt at a console FPS, I enjoyed playing online. The idea of getting to choose how you want to play your class of weaponry is incredible, and the possibilities; almost limitless. Your gun levels up as you play, as does yourself, mind boggling. Makes you wonder why not one soul from the Call of Duty franchise had sought this.

Overall I would rate the game, AMAZING. I was constantly kept with my hands on the controller, and of course it didn’t help that I needed to pee while I sat there for almost 5 hours running through the campaign. The work done by Activision was top scores for this game.

In the end, my score for this game,10/10

Obviously.
