Circle Pad Pro Release Date Announced

The device will sell for $20 on February 7th and will be sold exclusively through GameStop

As of right now, their are only a few games compatible with CPP such as: Resident Evil Revelations, Metal Gear Solid 3D Snake Eater, Dynasty Warriors Vs, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, andĀ Monster Hunter Tri G.

According to Andria Sang, the manual promises up to 480 hours of play time using just one AAA battery. If you want to replace the battery, it can cost up to $1-2 for a 2 pack.

My Thoughts:

Just saw a video of the circle pad onĀ YouTube. I know it doesn’t look pleasing to the eye, but it does add some interesting functionality for a small price. It adds FOUR shoulder buttons to your device and an extra analog stick. The triggers on the back dont look like they’re velocity sensitive, which means playing FPS/Racing games wont have that nice velocity sensitivity we’ve all become used to. That being said, I would rather have the 3DS with this monstrosity attached than the PS Vita, which lacks extra shoulder buttons and doesn’t have a 3D display.

A decent Metroid Prime game and a port of Dark Souls, now I’m dreaming!
